However, I know lots off players love these muted tones, so I can see them being popular with some guitarists. A Godin LGX has been my main guitar for seven or eight years now. I’m not a huge fan of the two finishes, as they remind me of those earlier Japanese import guitars from my youth, which I always found a bit dull and lacklustre. Certainly an interesting take on the shorter-scale H-S-H layout guitar. Besides, even with all that extensive chambering, the Radiator weighs in at 7.7lb. Many like the idea of a lighter weight guitar but worry that feels too unserious.

New Designīoth guitars look like a cross between some of the late ’70s and early ’80s designs coming out of Japan and some of the Fender models from their Parallel Universe/Alternate Reality runs from the last few years. As it stands, the Radiator is extremely impressive. The 24.75” set-neck is also mahogany. The HSH pickup layout consists of a custom pair of Godin nickel-covered humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, plus a Godin custom Cajun nickel single-coil in the middle position. Back to the Radiator, with the long fret length, good not too thin, thin neck, hardtail bridge and easy access to the upper register, this guitar rocks.
